Child Advocates of Montgomery County celebrated its 31st annual spring fundraising gala on Saturday, March 7, 2026, at Margaritaville Lake Resort on Lake Conroe. Approximately 500 guests gathered for an inspiring evening themed Santorini Sunset, awash in Mediterranean hues. Presented by Huntsman Corporation, the event raised critical funds to support the children and families served by Child Advocates of Montgomery County.

“In Santorini, there is a grape-growing practice known as koulura, where vines are carefully woven into a protective basket that shields the fruit from harsh winds, volcanic soil, and intense sun,” said Ann Marie Ronsman, President and CEO of Child Advocates of Montgomery County. “That imagery mirrors our work. Through the intertwined support of volunteers, donors, and community partners, we create a protective framework around children whose life circumstances have been anything but favorable. Within that advocacy, children are given the opportunity to thrive. This is how we bring hope to the most vulnerable among us.”

The program concluded with guests gathering lakeside for a spectacular fireworks show, sponsored by ProDirectional. Beloved gala traditions were also on full display, including the Golden Ticket game, silent auction, and a raffle for exquisite diamond jewelry provided by Jared Jewelers, The Woodlands.

Adding a memorable surprise, two top-secret VIP attendees—Lefty and Lone Star, alpacas courtesy of Texas Party Animals—greeted and delighted guests throughout the evening.

The night continued with an after-party sponsored by Waste Connections, featuring an unforgettable performance by The SPAZMATICS that kept the dance floor packed until the final song.

The event was made possible through the generous support of numerous sponsors. In addition to Presenting Sponsor Huntsman Corporation, Visionary Sponsors included the Conlon Family and Friends, EnerCorp, Lennar, and the Rock-Jensen Foundation. Through the collective generosity of sponsors, underwriters, guests, and donors, proceeds from this single evening will provide critical support to nearly 300 children and families in Montgomery County.

“This evening was truly special—not just because of the beautiful setting and memorable experiences, but because of the impact it creates,” said Samantha Chapa, Director of Development and Strategic Partnerships. “The generosity of this incredible community directly translates into advocacy, stability, and hope for children right here in Montgomery County.”
