DESCRIPTION:Join Texas CASA for this Sharpening Skills Webinar focused on Helping Kids Thrive: Behavioral Support and School Advocacy \n\nMay 7\, 2025\, 12:00 pm – 1:30 pm CST\n\nThis webinar will prepare CASA volunteers to better support children facing behavioral and emotional challenges in educational settings. Volunteers will explore how to advocate for school-based supports\, promote educational stability\, and collaborate with educators to ensure each child’s needs are met. Participants will walk away with a deeper understanding of how strong behavioral advocacy can foster emotional well-being\, support learning\, and strengthen CASA’s impact.\n\n\nSpecial Guest: John Thoms of Glass Half Full Behavioral Solutions brings over 20 years of experience as an educator\, behavior coach\, trainer\, and parent. He is a certified behavior coach\, trained mediator\, and a Trust-Based Relational Intervention® (TBRI®) Practitioner with specialized training in Restorative Practices. John facilitates professional development in Positive Behavior Interventions and Supports (PBIS)\, Restorative Practices\, classroom management\, and strategies for meeting individual student needs.
