2025 HOPE Summit Equips Professionals with Evidence‑Based Strategies to Foster Resilience and Healing

Child Advocates of Montgomery County successfully hosted the 2025 HOPE Summit on November 6 at the Houston CityPlace Marriott at Springwoods Village, bringing together approximately 200 attendees from across the region, state, and nation. Facilitated by Dr. Chan Hellman, Ph.D., one of the world’s leading hope scholars and co‑author of Hope Rising: How the Science of Hope Can Change Your Life, the Summit offered a transformative learning experience centered on the science of hope as a powerful tool for overcoming adversity.

Grounded in Dr. Hellman’s extensive, evidence‑based research, the HOPE Summit explored his Hope-Centered curriculum, providing attendees with practical strategies to cultivate resilience, healing, and positive outcomes for children and families. Participants gained a deeper understanding of how hope science intersects with trauma‑informed care and how these concepts can be applied within their organizations and communities.

“The HOPE Summit is designed to empower professionals with tools that truly change lives,” said Ann Marie Ronsman, President & CEO of Child Advocates of Montgomery County. “Whether attendees were returning from previous CTI Conferences or joining us for the first time, this year’s event laid a powerful foundation for integrating hope science into everyday practice.”

The Summit welcomed a diverse audience of educators, social workers, nonprofit leaders, healthcare professionals, justice system partners, and community advocates—all committed to strengthening outcomes for children and families impacted by adversity.
