Join Texas CASA for this Sharpening Skills Webinar focused on Helping Kids Thrive: Behavioral Support and School Advocacy

This webinar will prepare CASA volunteers to better support children facing behavioral and emotional challenges in educational settings. Volunteers will explore how to advocate for school-based supports, promote educational stability, and collaborate with educators to ensure each child’s needs are met. Participants will walk away with a deeper understanding of how strong behavioral advocacy can foster emotional well-being, support learning, and strengthen CASA’s impact.

Special Guest: John Thoms of Glass Half Full Behavioral Solutions brings over 20 years of experience as an educator, behavior coach, trainer, and parent. He is a certified behavior coach, trained mediator, and a Trust-Based Relational Intervention® (TBRI®) Practitioner with specialized training in Restorative Practices. John facilitates professional development in Positive Behavior Interventions and Supports (PBIS), Restorative Practices, classroom management, and strategies for meeting individual student needs. He currently co-owns and teaches at a private school in Austin, Texas, where he continues to apply his passion for creating supportive, student-centered learning environments.
